Athena Wilkinson

PhD Student

Athena Wilkinson is a PhD student in Critical Music Studies. Already a two-time alum, she received her B.A. in Music in 2025, followed by an MBA the year after. Her research interests lie in Trinidadian music, where she looks at the complex relationship between societal structures and their influence on the evolution of music. More specifically, she is interested in comparing the discussion of identity and identity relations and how those may differ between the United States and the Caribbean.
